| Our adoption journey officially started on September 4, 2003. After many hours and days of research we decided to adopt from Ukraine. We are using an independent facilitator rather than an agency. We are hoping to adopt 2 children, a boy and a girl between the age of 14 and 30 months. There is no guarantee in Ukraine as to the age and gender of the children, so we'll just have to see where our hearts lead us. We have an appointment at the National Adoption Center (NAC) in Kiev on February 23, 2004. We will be leaving February 21 to arrive in Kiev, Ukraine February 22.
