Every year, the day after Thanksgiving, we make the trip to Snyder County to get our Christmas Tree.  We bundled the boys up and off we went.  The first stop was Andy's house...because he knows the best places to get a tree.  First stop...a tree farm to get a tree for Aunt Greta and Rory.  These trees are all short and plump, perfect size for them.  The second stop was a tree farm that we got our tree at 2 years ago.  Part of the property has since been sold, and they don't groom the trees there anymore.  They have HUGE trees, and we were hoping to find one for us and a skinny tree for Betty Jane and David.  After driving thru 3 fields of trees, and walking and walking trying to find a tree that was in pretty good shape, we finally cut one down.  At this point the boys had had enough, and could not understand what was taking so long!!!  (They've got their Daddy's attitude.....why does it take so long for Mommy to find a tree!!)  No tree for Grammy and Pop Pop....the shorter one's were all pretty rough.  After we got it loaded, it was time for the long ride home....needless to say, the boys didn't make it 5 minutes down the road before they were out!!  We waited until they were in bed to put the tree up, and after David cut 3 feet off the bottom, it was still HUGE!!  The biggest tree so far...a quite hard to decorate!!  The boys got a tree of their own to decorate in the living room.  They had a ball with Sesame Street decorations, candy canes and the ornaments that Grammy gave them.   ( wooden ones, ideal for little hands that like to touch!)   They are really looking forward to Santa...and love to look at (and touch)  the lights on the Christmas tree.
